Allot Introduces Allot NetEnforcer AC-3000 and AC-1400
Today, Allot Communications issued a press release announcing two new additions to our NetEnforcer family of bandwidth management devices to the global market.
Allot NetEnforcer AC-3000 is designed for Internet service providers and large enterprises who are managing Internet traffic on multiple 1GE links at speeds of up to 6 Gbps (3Gbps full duplex).
Allot NetEnforcer AC-1400 appeals to a wider enterprise market with operating speeds up to 2Gbps (1Gbps full duplex).
Both devices feature 8 ports of 10/100/1000BaseT/SX/LX for network connectivity with an additional 4 ports for connecting to external services or for cascading devices to ensure high-availability.
These next-generation NetEnforcers are powered by the same Dynamic Actionable Recognition Technology (DART) available on Allot NetEnforcer AC-5000, AC-1000 and Service Gateway platforms, providing a common operating environment and feature set that scales from 45Mbps to more than 40Gbps. DART combines traffic awareness at application, subscriber and network topology layers, plus the ability to act upon this information by mapping these layers directly into dynamic policy enforcement rules. Policy-based actions include prioritization, shaping and limiting, as well as traffic steering for support of value-added services. The ability to automatically redirect relevant traffic flows to services such as media caching and acceleration, URL filtering, botnet mitigation, service tiering, and quota management lowers costs and improves performance of these services.
